Well it's getting closer to the British Beauty & Spa Awards Ball on 7 September and all the Cinderella's at Pretty Woman are getting anxious - will we be a winner on the night? Salon of the Year would be nice, but we'll take any of the four prizes we are a finalist for! So keep your fingers crossed for us.
It's an exciting month... a new product range and new treatments for you too. We are launching Elemis Skincare & Spa products this month, and also St Tropez Treatments and Gel Nails... wow!

THE BRITISH BEAUTY & SPA AWARDS 2008
After winning Clarins Gold Salon of the Year, in June I decided to enter the British Beauty & Spa Awards 2008, competing against every Salon in the UK.
We entered four categories: Customer Care Award, Marketing Award, Midlands & North East Salon of the Year and Salon Director of the Year. We had to submit an in depth written application for each one and trust me it was very hard work.
Last month we received in the post four letters stating "after an intense judging process, you have been selected as a finalist in all four categories" The winners are announced at a Gala Ball on 7 September 2008, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London and the Pretty Woman Cinderella's are "going to Ball" ... wish us luck! The Salon will be closed on Monday 8 September 2008.

We are delighted to announce the launch of Elemis Skin & Spa Products at Pretty Woman. This is the first major brand we have introduced in sixteen years and is entirely due to client feedback. Elemis are a luxury British Spa & Skincare brand providing lifestyle solutions for every woman and man. It's an affordable luxury with driven skincare results.
Elemis is one of the leading brands in the UK, available on over 175 cruiser liners, the major Spa's/Health Farms and British Airways Terminal 5. Their success speaks volumes. We are particularly impressed with their Ant-Ageing Skin Care range and also their fabulous Spa Body Products. A tester stand is situated in the Reception Area for clients to try the products and from mid-September, we launch Elemis Treatments at Pretty Woman

It's so exciting... three new treatments to offer you. St Tropez Self Tan Treatments are now available at Pretty Woman. Gel Nails... you have been asking and we have listened, we are sending two of our Therapists Gel Training on Monday 15 Sept. We need models for when they come back from training w/c 15 Sept & 22 Sept and the cost is only £10. Please book in asap. Finally the full range of Elemis Face & Body Treatments will also be available from mid-September.

Tamina is now on maternity leave with baby due on 2 October 2008. Good luck Tamina, put your feet up now, you are going to need some rest before those sleepless nights. Thanks for all your hard work and see you after your maternity leave. Amy Stephenson has joined us, as an NVQ 2 student in Beauty Therapy. She will be working in the Salon and attending Yorkshire College - good luck in your career in Beauty Amy!
